The Sullivans series, which has become particularly popular lately, continues with the story of older Sullivan brother Marcus and his growing feelings for Nicola. Having been the responsible brother for so many years, Marcus is determined to let his hair down. But Nicola has dark secrets, and she isn’t who she claims to be. Will their one night stand develop into something that lasts longer?
Continuing to explore the world created by Bella Andre in The Look of Love (The Sullivans #1), From This Moment On is one of those stories in which strangers agree to have a night of uncomplicated sex, only to discover that such arrangements rarely turn out as expected. Fortunately, Bella Andre’s writing is strong and her characters have some subtle touches, meaning that the author is quickly able to be drawn into the world of the Sullivans and those around them.
At a time when many authors are emphasising erotica at the expense of romance, it’s refreshing to find that From This Moment On manages to balance its different elements very successfully. Throughout the novel, there was a sense that the author genuinely cares for her characters (faults included), and this is a great boost. The Sullivans is developing into one of the more interesting romance sagas on the market at the moment.
