A teen who posted on Yahoo! Answers hoping for help with D.C. Pierson’s book The Boy Who Couldn’t Sleep and Never Had To got a shock when Pierson himself responded. Pierson lightly mocked the student for not wanting to read the book and for seeking a workaround.
The student said she’d got her reading list late, that her library was undergoing work, and that she’s a slow reader, so she wanted help. Pierson told her it should only take around ten hours to read the book, suggesting that she take it in short portions. You can see the full exchange in screenshots at Pierson’s Tumblr. So far, it seems the student hasn’t responded.
